Today we will provide a good news about Akihabara.
It is reported that Akihabara's "Pedestrian Paradise" (certain roads closed to vehicle traffic by police) will reopen!
This popular tradition was suspended in June 2008 when a hit-and-run and stabbing spree left seven dead. But recently visitors and tourists there have been increasing and they are flooding into the sidewalks. This situation caused some traffic problems, so people has been asking reopening of the pedestrian paradise.
It will again start in the middle of July, and soon after that many cosplayers and maids will come back there! Of course, initially policemen would go on patrol...
