Hi everyone!

This time I walked around Akihabara with our staff.

It was too hot to take a walk for me, biggums, so I asked other members to get rest.
Then we dropped into a café “Seiyuu no Tamago”.

Many aspiring voice actors who want to be voice actor or who are at the beginning of their career work as waitress there, as its name suggests. So many girls who have pretty voice in this café! I heard some girl works as radio DJ!
Some of these girls could be voice actor who provides the voice for main character of popular anime in the future!

And also you can enjoy some dishes here.
One of them is “Tamagokake Gohan”, egg sauce over rice, also as the name of the café suggests.
This cafe is particular about “Tamagokake Gohan”. It is made of ukokkei’s egg, the highest-quality one, and you can choose from more than 20 types of soy sauce gathered from around Japan. The price is 800 yen but it’s worth eating! You may feel comfortable with the voice of waitresses looking at the sight that they make your dish.

Akiharabara Information 4 "Gundam Cafe"

Hi there!

There are many cafes in Akihabara, and this time I visited “Gundam Cafe” near Denki-gai exit of Akihabara station. This café has a concept of “Mobile Suit Gundam”, most famous robot animation. Its pretty staff wear Gundam costumes. This café is created to have even people other than Gundam fans enjoy.

And also there I found “1/144 Gunpra Yaki”, Akihabara’s speciality.

There are three basic flavors such as “Full Cream”, “Sweet Bean Paste made in Hokkaido”, “Bacon Mayonnaise”. In addition, now you can try summer-only “Spicy Curry Saucisse”. In the meantime, “Bacon Mayonnaise” isn’t sold.
The price is 190-200 yen.
I think it’s little expensive but tastes great!!
It’s worth while trying to eat!

The store is… “Pachinko Parlor”!
Pachinko parlor is almost authorized gambling establishment crammed with pachinko machines. After putting 11mm steel balls into board having a lot of nails, if it enters By controlling a manual or electric-spring flipper, a player launches 11mm steel balls to the top of the pachinko panel. If a falling ball enters a target hole, numerals on LCD start to move like slot machine. If a pattern made up of only one kind of numeral appears, the player hits the jackpot and the machine dispenses many balls. The balls can be exchanged for prize. Since there’s no entrance fee, only dropping in pachinko parlor, you may enjoy!

Pachinko parlors in Akihabara are just a little bit different from those in other areas. There are baggage locker of Evangelion and life-size figure of its heroine at the entrance of “Pachinko/Slot Island Akihabara” located in the first basement and the first floor of Don Quijote Akihabara.
Some phrases spoofing scripts and alternative titles of Evangelion are written in white Minchotai on the black locker.

Akiharabara Information 2 "Chesse Curry Miso Ramen"

Hi everyone!

Today we would like to introduce Akihabara gourmet information!
This time a ramen shop “Misoya Yoroku” located in Akihabara Station.

I fell for the sign “Curry Miso Ramen” and decided to walk into the shop.

“Curry and Miso? Do they marry? Is it tasty?”

When entering the shop, I found more appealing menu “Cheese Curry Miso Ramen” on ticket machine.

“Hmm…is this dish good…?”
But I selected the “Cheese Curry Miso Ramen” since it’s too curious!

Looking at the kitchen with an uneasy look, a languid man looking like newcomer started to cook my “Cheese Curry Miso Ramen” with an awkward hand.

“Is he OK…? Did I make a mistake…?”

Regretting my choice for a few minutes, “Cheese Curry Miso Ramen” come!

I don’t know how to cook it, but the flavors of miso, curry and cheese married. It smells delicious!! Now having a bite…

“So yummy! They bring out each other!”

It tasted so delicious that I could say nothing! I drank to the dregs! Without the consideration that the strange naming and the newcomer’s awkward hand doubled the taste as gap inside me, it was wonderful

Hi everyone!

This is the 2nd report of “Wonfes”.
Now we would like to introduce…

The booth of Kotobukiya!! Kotobukiya would be popular Japanese figure manufacturer in the world. I think its figures are displayed outside Japan like U.S.
Followings are figures shown in the booth;

Hitagi Senjougahara from Bakemonogatari, Rei, Asuka and Mari from Evangelion were so popular that a lot of people stopped to see those figures. Some of them are on sale, and their details were elaborated.

And nother eye-catching exhibits were robot figures transformed into two-head figure. There are Gunbuster from “Aim for the Top!”, White Grint from “Armored Core”, Ingram 1 and Griffon from “Patlabor”. They are catching attention being not only adorable, but also cool!

In addition, deformed cute figures of Sengoku Basara’s characters which is a series of action video games set in feudal Japan were also displayed.

Wonder Festival 2010 Summer!

Today, we would like to talk about “Wonder Festival 2010 Summer”, “Wonfes” for short held in Japan. This was a big event related to anime and figure which took place in Makuhari Messe in Chiba Pref on July 25, one of the largest domestic event sites. Wonfes is held in every summer and winter, and each year about 40,000 people participate. Also it is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. Various kinds of people such as major figure and plastic model manufacturer, artist applying on an individual basis show their new figures and sell proud products. Of course, we can get limited products there.

Akihabara Information 1 "UFO Catcher"

Hello there!
I’m Naganoya, in charge of writing this blog from this time.

There are many kinds of games in Akihabara’s game arcade, and today I’ve been addicted to crane machine game called “UFO catcher” in Japan.

This “UFO catcher” is to get prizes manipulating the button to control the claw. A lot of people give themselves over to this game for the prizes including the limited one. Recently some vendors specialize in creating prizes for only crane machines.

UFO catcher looks apparently simple, but actually it’s deep. It costs 100 yen to play one game, but there’s annoying system such we can play 5+1 games per 500 yen in most machines. And it’s so difficult that we can’t get a prize just for once.

What I tried to get was Shichibukai’s goods such as key case, CD case, etc., one of the “ONE PIECE” character, who is recognized by pirates. This time, I aimed at catching “Shichibukai Mini Backpack”! I had a craving for that, so put 500 yen and got 6 games!

Then, I could easily get it in my first game.
And with my first 500 yen, I got 3 prizes in all!! Wonderful!

“Today must be my lucky day! I could collect them all… Yes, I can!”

After that I put my 500 yen coin for 8 times, and eventually collected all 7 prizes for 4,500 yen! What a formidable magic Shichibukai has! So fascinating the UFO catcher is!

If you come across attractive prize of UFO catcher, it’s better to talk to clerk. Then the clerk would put the prize in a better position to catch it or teach you the ropes. There would be some arcades that its clerks don’t do that, but I think you should speak to them!

In my case, if I had talked to clerk, I could have got all 7 backpacks sooner. Being shy and shanty costs too much!

About "Evangelion Shin Gekijyoban: Ha"

Hello there!
Today's theme is "Evangelion Shin Gekijyoban: Ha", the latest DVD of Evangelion series released the end of last month in Japan.

I just finished watching it and felt details are depicted compared to its TV version.

Leaving behind mysteries in the first part and depicted the main characters' daily episodes make the last part more cruel. The scene put on "Kyou no Hi wa Sayounara" made me feel surreal. The contrast between the music and the scene increases cruelty.

Also there are two climactic scenes in this movie, so the first point could get forgotten.
Although the first point is the runaway accident of EVA-03, the story following the accident is very simple.

Since some of you haven't watched this movie yet, I don't describe details now, but it is worth watching and far more interesting than the first movie.
I'm sure we can enjoy the next installation of the movie "Evangerion Shin Gekijyoban: Q Quickening"!

"Pedestrian Paradise" to reopen in Akihabara this summer

It is reported that Akihabara's "Pedestrian Paradise" (certain roads closed to vehicle traffic by police) will reopen!

This popular tradition was suspended in June 2008 when a hit-and-run and stabbing spree left seven dead. Today's theme is Gundam!

Mobile Suit Gundam started to be aired in 1979, so this mega-hit series has been broadcasted for over 30years. Last year there are many events of gundam, like a full-scale gundam showed at Odaiba, Tokyo, and it's popularity must be continuing.

This year, the Universal Century series "Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn" following the first gundam series come out on DVD on March, and a movie will be released on September 18th.
The title is "Mobile Suit Gundam 00: Awakening of the Trailblazer". It is one of the popular gundam series and its first season was aired on TV from Oct. 2007 to Mar. 2008, the second one from Oct. 2008 to Mar. 2009 in Japan.

The events of the movie are to take place two years after the conclusion of the second season, and the battles of each gundam meister are depicted in it. Furthermore, all the facts about "Ioria's plan" not clarified in the TV series will be dug out. The New Type Gundam will be a great one!

The release of the gundam movie is the first time in 19years, and the previous title is "Mobile Suit Gundam F91".
